Supplying electricity to offset ERDF losses

To offset network losses, ERDF regularly purchases energy from qualified suppliers through open market competition. As a qualified supplier, you are entitled to bid for the purchase of ERDF’s wholesale electricity. To become a qualified electricity supplier, return a completed application to ERDF.

What is a qualified supplier?

A qualified supplier is entitled to bid on ERDF calls for tender. ERDF is required to purchase electricity to offset distribution network losses.

Submit your application

To become a qualified supplier, request an application and return the completed package to ERDF.

The application package includes a list of:

general terms and conditions of purchase that you must accept,,

administrative, financial and tax documents that you must provide (e.g., balance sheet, Balance Responsible Entity contract with RTE, authorised signatories)..

It will take about 2 months to process your application and, if necessary, configure your IT tools. Qualifications are reviewed annually.

Competitions and proposal approval

To offset network losses, ERDF regularly purchases energy from qualified suppliers through open-market competitions. This practice is used for products that adhere to French wholesale market standards (e.g., annual, quarterly or monthly base and peak loads).

Submit your sales proposal using the dedicated web platform on the day of the competition.
